ਇਨ ਗਰੀਬ ਸਿਖਨ ਕੋ ਦਿਓਂ ਪਾਤਸਾਹੀ
, ਏਹ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੇ ਹਮਰੀ ਗੁਰਆਈ….ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਜਾਤ-ਗੋਤ ਕੁੱਲ ਮਾਹੀ
, ਸਰਦਾਰੀ ਨਾ ਭਈ ਕਦਾਹੀ…ਤਿਂਹ ਹੀ ਕੋ ਮੈਂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਬਣਾਊ
,ਚਿੜਿਯੋੰ ਸੇ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਜ ਤਾਢ਼ਾਊਂ…..ਗਿੱਧਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਬਨਾਓ
,ਸਵਾ ਲਖ ਸੇ ਇਕ ਲਾਢ਼ਾਊਂ..”ਤਬਹੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ” ਨਾਮ ਕਹਾਊਂ………..
ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਸਾਜਕੇ ਇਹ ਜਾਤ-ਪਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀਕਾਰੀ ਸੋਚ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਕੌਮ ਖੜੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਦਾਹਰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਖਿਆਲ ਵਰਲਡ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕਾਰ ਟਾਈਨਬੀ (Toynbee) ਨੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਸੀ।
ਫੇਰ ਖਾਲਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਪ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਛਕਿਆ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਚੇਲਾ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ।
ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਰ ਦਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਤੇ ਆਮ ਲਿਤਾੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਦਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਇੱਕੋ ਬਾਟੇ ਚੋਂ ਪੰਜ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਮੇਰੋ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਖ਼ਾਸ – ਦੇਗ ਤੇਗ ਫਤਹਿ, ਬੋਲੇ ਸੋ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਨਾਰੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਸਹਿਕੇ ਵੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲੀ ਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਸਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ! ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ!
ਖਾਲਸਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਦੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ!
In 1699, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Guru of the Sikhs formed the Khalsa, by choosing the five Pyaras (beloved ones who would become the future guiding force for Sikhs) from different castes, different locations and different vocations.
This act reinforces the Guru’s much needed vision of creating a spirit of unity amongst all peoples beyond perceived boundaries of caste, vocation and ethnicity, and is an important value for the world in the present day and beyond.
Khalsa means someone who will stand for justice, equality, human rights and equity in society. This changed the history of South Asia and it gave an opportunity to common people especially the downtrodden to become leaders.
